| There are several good reasons why our central vacuum cleaners are supplied with separate utility sockets - here are the main two:- - A utility socket on the unit itself would interfere with the cyclone filter and cause a loss of performance
- The vacuum unit is normally fitted towards the back of the garage, out of the way. When you want to clean the inside of your car you will probably park it on the drive, where there is more room to open the vehicle doors. You would then need a very long hose to reach from the vacuum unit to the car. The U90 utility socket can be fitted towards the front of the garage by the door and so is closer to the car on the drive.
